Having previously served with distinction on the Pelham Manor Zoning Board of Appeals, D.J. is delighted to serve as the Pelham Manor Trustee responsible for administration, finance, and planning. D.J.’s duties as Trustee also include inter-governmental relations. In furtherance of those functions, he regularly attends community events and is in close contact with other elected officials.
Leaning on his extensive skills as a financial professional, D.J. furthers Pelham Manor’s strong record of fiscal responsibility and debt avoidance. Over the past two years, he has worked closely with the Village Manager, Village Treasurer, and outside accountants to enhance Pelham Manor’s established investment policy. In addition, D.J. has been an instrumental force in Pelham Manor’s ongoing efforts to upgrade technology. Recently, he collaborated with the Village Manager and the Village’s website provider to implement internet services and communications improvements.
As the father of two young children, D.J. is committed to Pelham Manor’s wide range of public safety efforts. He was actively involved in the Village’s comprehensive review of the Vehicle and Traffic section of the Village Code, joining the Board vote to reduce Pelham Manor’s speed limit from 30 to 25 mph and add approximately 50 stop signs across the Village. D.J. is particularly proud of Pelham Manor’s wide-ranging environmental and sustainability initiatives, including the Village’s industry-leading organic waste recycling program at Spring Road. He is also an active voice in efforts to maintain and improve infrastructure for Pelham Manor’s stormwater and sanitary sewer conveyance systems.
D.J. grew up in Pelham Manor and returned to the Prospect Hill area to raise his family. Since graduating from Colgate University with a B.A. in Mathematical Economics in 2006, D.J. has worked in a variety of roles in foreign exchange trading at a noted private bank in New York City. D.J. has international business experience, working in London for two years, in addition to several years in Manhattan. He is committed to the concepts of fiscal responsibility, strong municipal services, and community engagement.
A 2002 graduate of Pelham Memorial High School, D.J. graduated from Pelham Middle School in 1998 and Prospect Hill Elementary School in 1995. D.J. is married to Ariana, who has worked in various marketing roles throughout her career after graduating from Villanova University. His hobbies include skiing, golf, cooking, and proudly cheering for his old high school hockey team when not caring for his two young children, Daniel III and Teresa.
